    I never know what to say when people say"how's it going?" I know that all they really mean is "Hi there," but I'm always tempted to start whining about my work load or mouthy students or my sinuses.

    I think students are getting sick of me because ever since I've been teaching whenever someone asks "what's up?" I always reply "a direction, what else would it be?"
