    MLK was a Conservative. You don't understand social equality. All the liberals are doing is making minorities defendant on the government. The government has contributed to ruining family and family values.

    This is a common misperception of those with an authoritarian world-view. Jesus told us to feed and clothe the poor, heal the sick, and visit those in prison. He didn't tell us to practice tough love so that people don't start becoming dependant on the government. Check out Matt 25:40. Perhaps we need to practice some tough love on the big Oil companies, or with Wall Street- so that they won't be so dependant on Government tax breaks, subsidies, or bail outs.

    King, like Bill Cosby and President Obama, may have admonish members of his own African-American community to be responsible and not dependant- but I believe that he's still see us suffering from the 3 great evils of racism, materialism, and militarism. And I highly doubt that someone who died in Memphis fighting for poor garbage men as part of his poor people's campaign could be considered a conservative.
